We fucking adore you dave, we're hurt at the state of slayer right now, but we're much happier you're happier, seeing you play in all your favourite bands just having a great fucking time is inspiring, everything a musician should be. Legend.

Kerry King couldn't get a dog to bark at him when he left slayer. Nobody was interested in bringing him in, he said so himself. Dave Lombardo is universally revered by his peers and has a line of world class musicians lining up to have him drum for them to this day. Look at his media. Constantly meeting new musicians with a smile beaming across his face.

100% This is why you will never see KK Downing with Judas Priest again either. Despite he is fit for play. Its the business and Rob and Glenn are bought off, this and that. Its awful really. Either way this was 10 years ago, and SLAYER is DEAD! Jeff is Dead! Araya is done! The only one carrying is the bald headed midget with his own nonsense. Its done its over!

Dave is a master at fast playing at aggressive volumes all the while maintaining his rudiments and unique fills. I always recognize when it's him playing on a record. That's when you know you're a truly great drummer.

Dave was right to go. When you help start a band and even have them rehearse in your own home, it would have meant everything to him. Then to be ripped off by your fellow band mates after giving your all is a backstab 100. The best thing he could do was walk. Slayer were never quite the same again, and at the end were crap with Gary.

He could've said a lot worse considering what's out there.

I've always found it hard to reconcile what a monster he is on the drums with how down to earth he is. Like if I didn't know who he was and they told me 'oh yeah this is one of the best extreme metal drummers of all time' I'd do a double take.

You look at some drummers and see what they have made in $ over the years compared to Dave Lombardo and it's literally beggar's belief. Lombardo is truly brilliant and has influenced more drummers than most of these guys put together. Timing, technique, versatility, sheer class.

Dear Dave, I've been a major fan of your abilities ever since I was a teen growing up in the 80's. You most definitely deserve all of the best. Much love with the highest amount of respect Dave. You're definitely an inspiration.

Slayer was ripped off for 30 years and Dave tried to save himself and his band props to him.

I've done my Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath, but never been finished with Slayer since Junior High...puuuufff what a cramps business you've got there Dave

In other words, either they were in on it, like Easy E, or they got bought out.... You cant go 30+ years and not look into where all the money is going. Its one thing when you are young and dumb, but sooner or later, the question needs to be asked and addressed.

It's a shame when the people who actually create the music get less money than the snakes who run the machine.

I belive him 99%, only because with humans it can't ever be 100%. But, the story is logical and makes sense, therfore it's more likely to be accurate.

I don't blame dave for quitting He's one of the best drummers in history of rock and roll. He deserves better.

This is why Sharon was/Is Ozzy's manager. No diss to Slayer at all but we've all know that bands and artists have gotten F'ed over the decades by labels and management. Its one thing that i never understood with musicians. You create this wonderful art. But you have absolutely no idea about economics. And for the record..... A band is just as good as its drummer. This if anything proves it <3

Tom and Kerry had creative control over Slayer. Then Tom and Kerry started have issues with each other over business issues. That's why there's no more Slayer.
